Privacy Policy

The short version

Coverpad does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Your designs, photos, and fonts stay on your device. We do not operate any server that receives your documents.

Your documents

Coverpad documents are files saved in the Files app, in the location you choose. If you choose a cloud location such as iCloud Drive, that provider's own policy applies to the files you store there. Editing, filters, and export all run on your device.

Photos

Coverpad asks for access to your photo library so you can add images to a design, and for permission to save exported images to Photos. Images are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to any third party.

Icon search (Iconify, optional)

When you search for icons, the app sends your search words to the public Iconify API (api.iconify.design) and downloads the icons you pick. No account and no personal data are sent. Iconify's privacy policy applies on their side.

Stock photo search (Pexels, optional)

When you search for stock photos, the app sends your search words to Pexels and downloads the photos you pick. There are two ways this works:

• Your own Pexels API key. Requests go directly from your device to Pexels. Your key is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
• The built-in demo. Without a key, a small number of searches go through our demo proxy at pexels-demo.coverpad.ca. The app counts your demo searches on your device only. It sends no device ID, account, or other identifier. To prevent abuse, the proxy limits how many requests one network address can make per minute; that counter is temporary and is not stored.

Pexels' privacy policy applies on their side.

Wi‑Fi upload (local network)

To send fonts or files from a computer, Coverpad can start a temporary upload page on your local network. The page is reachable only on that network while it is open in the app. Files go directly from your computer to your iPhone or iPad — not through the internet or any server.

AI assistants

Coverpad does not include AI and does not send your designs to any AI service. If you use the layout prompt feature, you copy the prompt and paste it into an AI agent or assistant of your choice, then paste the result back. What you share with that service is up to you, and its own privacy policy applies.

Analytics, crash reporting, and advertising

The app does not include any analytics SDK, crash reporter, or advertising library. It does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.

This website

This website (coverpad.ca) is a static site. It does not set cookies, run analytics scripts, or collect information about visitors.

Children

Coverpad is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app's release notes.
