Create a new document and pick a size: YouTube 16:9, Instagram post, story 9:16, square, A4, Letter, or a custom size. Add text, photos, shapes, and icons with the + button, then tap any element to style it.

Each design is a .coverpad document in the Files app, in the folder you choose. Older Tahrir and Composa documents still open in Coverpad.

Use the share button to export PNG, JPEG, or HEIC at the exact pixel size of your canvas, then share it or save it to Photos. Choose “With transparent background” to export a PNG without the page color and background photo. JPEG and HEIC are always opaque.

Go to Settings and choose Import Font to pick font files from Files. To send fonts from a computer, choose Import from Computer, connect both devices to the same Wi‑Fi, and open the address shown in a browser on your computer. Keep the screen open while you upload — the upload page stops when you leave it or put the app in the background.

Coverpad has no AI built in. In Settings, open Create with AI to copy the layout prompt (or copy it from coverpad.ca/ai), paste it into any AI agent or assistant you use, and describe your design under User prompt. Copy the result, then tap Paste AI Output (in Create with AI or on the new document sheet). The layout opens as an editable canvas with real text, shapes, and photo slots. Without a key, Coverpad includes a small number of demo stock photo searches. For unlimited searches, get a free API key from pexels.com/api and add it in Settings under Pexels API Key. Searches then go directly from your device to Pexels.
